These fruity fish are soft and chewy and they taste of a kind of berry flavour, supposedly lingonberry, but that's not been officially confirmed. Why fish-shaped? Well the word on the street is that they were called “Swedish Fish” because, well, they were Swedish and the fishing industry in Sweden was very large. Who knows if that is true, but we like the sound of it.
Swedish Fish are one of the few gummy-like candies that does not contain gelatin, making them suitable for vegetarians. But best of all, they are fat free, so you can eat as many as you like and still feel healthy...........well that's our excuse anyway.
